❝ Something on your mind, Bones? ❞ The padd is set to the side. Eyes raise to look at the CMO’s face. He looks to be in thought. Perhaps even bothered. Unnerved even? Jim knows that much of the crew is shaken by the events of what transpired. Once repairs were finished, he’d authorized shore leave for much of the crew. Time off the ship would do them all good.
Of course, he would stay with Spock and a skeleton crew to watch the ship. He rarely if ever willingly takes shoreleave. Right now, leaving her sounded barbaric. He doesn’t want to part with the ship.
❝ I know there’s a lot of casualties. If we need relief from Starbase 86, just ask. ❞ He waits, prompts @astralanthropologists to respond. Jim’s patient and he knows the good doctor is likely thinking about whatever he wants to say. Hopefully, this isn’t one of those times where he tries to hone in on him.
Jim’d say he was fine regardless of if it were true or not. Captain’s prerogative.
❝ Well, Bones? ❞
