smiles, though it’s little more than a quirk to her lips, and almost laughs but she looks at the scientist with raised eyebrows “you usually have something to say about it.” trying to DOWNPLAY the situation / brush it and jemmas protest off with a joke and a smile. she could question what jemma could do to stop it but t i m e has taught her what her friend is capable of “it’s not down to you, there’s nothing you NEED to say or do about it simmons.”
