the RDA has very little sympathy when it comes to beings that are not human, and even when homo sapiens are the subject of discussion there is very little meaning when money is not a factor. the opinion of the public eye has a price, and currently it's the idea of a brand new world. cyan sparks over the room and some officer decides he's the man for the job, expendable.

ian steps into the cell, cautious of @astrapure , he's been given clerance for a few of the tapes in her file, and a misstep could very well mean being thrown into space.

                           quickly, hands move skyward.    it is not that he is afraid to touch her, no. . . mac has never been afraid of physical intimacy, jazallahan’s are a prone to physical interaction, so much can be said physically that cannot be said verbally . .  but that is the problem. valerie had pulled him aside some time ago to explain as much. boundaries, the desire to keep emotions private, even from those closest to you.  he doesn’t quite understand it, emotional vulnerability is strength. ( you would not call a newborn or a child weak for crying, it is a form of communication )  it isn’t until he feels the comfort, her trust that he lets hand settle on shoulder, it is a cool feeling, like a summer breeze in a blistering heat, refreshing.

                          “ thgirla si , sset .”    less of a question really, more of a statement, meant to be reassuring: i’m here, you’re alright,     ( he’s felt her panic before, like flying too close to the sun. ) he wants her to know, even if he does not know what is wrong, he understands.

                      norman is in a panic, someone else in his home, they’d offered to call someone for him, tried to call harry and gotten someone else. he’d tried to leave before she got there, gotten as far as hiding the glider, tucking it away in hopes he can run, escape something that has wormed it’s way so deeply inside him, something that runs through his blood, that is sitting in his brain. amusement echoes in the back of his mind, the Goblin has always found it pitiful, but before . . . before it was useful. now . . . it’s pathetic, and he has no qualms telling norman as much, taunting in the back of his mind.    he misses the silence. being by himself.  “ i’m . . . i’m sorry, i uh . . . i know you said you could help but you haven’t told me anything . . . i know i called but . . .  ”     he clears his throat, trying to collect thoughts as the goblin speaks over them.                          ( THEY TRICKED YOU. )    the Goblin cackles, norman swallows, looking at the girl as they walk, he’s wringing his hands, knuckles dusted pink as he pulls at the digits, squeezing them in palm of the opposite hand.        “ i was expecting someone else. ”

            ACCEPTING .​

            IT HAD been a while he had been out during the day ;  forcing to hide away almost completely ,  his presence not exactly welcomed .  he can’t blame anyone about that ,  however   —   after all ,  it’s not every day that you see someone with four extra metallic arms stuck to their back (   but then again ,  from what he has seen and the information he now had on this place ,  it doesn’t seem like the people would be that surprised   )   —   .  but otto had missed the sun ,  truth be told .  only being able to walk around during the night was getting tiresome ,  and for once ,  he stood on a random rooftop just enjoying the heat of the day .

         that thought doesn’t last very long ,  though   —   looking down and noticing a certain . . .  familiar brunette walking around .  head tilts to the side ,  looking at one of his arms (   looking at flo ,  to be more exact   ) ,  almost if questioning what he should do .

         . . .  ah ,  fuck it .

         screams IMMEDIATELY begin once he jumps off the roof ,  clawing and crawling away quickly through the crowd as they all moved aside ,  some even taking pictures of him pretty much right away .  this universe seems . . .  far more connected to technology than his ,  now that he sees it .  not important information to care at the moment ,  however ,  an arm grabbing the woman wannabe and crawling away even more .

            “   STOP SCREAMING !   ”   he starts ,  moving as fast as he could into a hiding spot .   “   i’m not going to hurt you -   ”   but you kind of just ABDUCTED her ,  didn’t you ,  otto ?

She was the same as Loki had last seen her, unmarked and unharmed. The sight allowed him to feel some relief in the fact that she hadn’t been hurt or damaged...at least in this timeline. It’s very clear that this wasn’t the right space given her words and reaction. There is a guilt that ate at his chest, knowing that he would likely only be bringing up bad...or good memories at seeing him. A breath slipped from his lips, head bowing slightly as Loki attempted to shake off his nerves.

“I had to see you, Tess. No matter the timeline. I’m sorry.”
