I have digitized some of those cross stitch fonts! I use PCStitch so I can send you those files if you like. (I also have winstitch but I'm Bad At It, haha)
YO just got your messages, and-- oh hell yeah! If you'd be down to share the files, I would love to get to mess around with them! I've been using FontForge to try and digitize some in the past, with partial but growing success; I can make a font that'll work in GIMP, but not in MS Paint or Word or Publisher (...yet!)
My dream is to eventually figure out a way to digitize and release some of the fonts into the Public Domain; if you're cool with it, would it be all right if I tried using your digitized versions as a starting point for that? For all the ones I've been working on thus far I've been starting with the original fonts and then coming up with punctuation/lowercase characters/numbers etc to fill them out, like for some of my Samplerbot fonts.
Also, re: PCStitch VS WinStitch… that's so real… PCStitch is like my goofy little dumb friend and WinStitch is a severe yet powerful beast from the 80's… I love and use them both, but for different purposes.
