▌ 。。。❝ Uhm… I think you can. And I’m pretty sure you just did. ❞ A giggle threatened to spill from the maiden’s lips had she not placed her palm there to conceal it. She’d been staring at the two mortals; a lovely couple in their early twenties on a night out like she and yixing, except they were an obvious couple while the chef and nymph remained wholly platonic. She had looked away for a mere second, only to find her casanova of a confidant flirting carelessly with the stranger, to which the boyfriend rebuked furiously.Humans are so interesting. So fickle, so sensitive. She wouldn’t dare think to stop the clash when her impish temperament was so amused. ❝ In fairness to you, you’re a lot more handsome than that guy. ❞ She gave his hair a quick ruffle and downed the poison known as alcohol. She honestly hated the substance – how it slithered against her throat and made her do things she wouldn’t normally do, like agree to fine dining. She had nothing against this particular restaurant but all were the same to a blunt Astrina. If the food was edible, it passed. Though it would never hold flavour like an orchard grown by nymphai. ❝ I really think we should leave– ❞ she abruptly suggested, watching the mortals don a look of malice against her elder. If they continued to act as such she might be triggered to perform a harmful spell, sending the not-so-lovely couple on a long slumber with bad delusions. ❝ I like your food better, anyway. Maybe we can drive back and boil up a ramen?❞
Yixing stared sideways at the threatening male, a bit bummed that the other existed at all. If not, he would have a field time making advances. It wasn’t like he was looking for any special companion that night, and so he smiled a little back at the female he was about to leave. He had better company, anyway. He looked back at Jisoo, who had already suggested food.
Walking away from the couple who seemed to be bickering away behind him over the loud club music, Yixing shook his head in gentle laughter as he left their empty glasses by the bar counter before carrying on.
“Seriously? You know the thing is, I’ve met a good number of girl and guys and I swear, it’s always the girls who are hungry. Hungrier, I mean. I wonder why.” He pulled up the already rolled up sleeves of his black dress shirt as he followed the female out of the club. It was a pretty sleazy crowd that night, which sort of turned him off.
