and now that it has been a full month since i got these asks, i'll answer them :3 or at least one for now. then the others in a little while.

so i don't remember the ask game these were for, but i saved the questions, so i'll just write eden's answers to them. answering these in the context of the original campaign verse rather than the bg3 au!

Which living person do you most admire?

Eden snorts. "Most of the people I admired in my time are dead," he says flatly. It took a long time for him to get used to that fact, but there's nothing he can do to change it. "But... as for people in this time period... I suppose I admire Barley. He is intelligent and resourceful, and he is a hard worker. I am glad to travel alongside him."

He twitches one of his ears. "I admire each of my associates, in their own way--I would not work with them if I did not think them capable."

On what occasion do you lie?

Eden tenses slightly and he looks down. "When I have to. But I'd rather not lie to my associates if I don't have to--we must be honest if we are to trust each other and work together."

Which talent would you most like to have?

He thinks for a moment before answering. "I... well, when I was young and less focused, I wanted to be a writer. I used to write plenty of stories for my younger brother, but I never had the patience to do much more than that."

Eden then wrinkles his nose, seemingly uncomfortable with what he just shared. "But that is besides the point. Talent is a myth. No one is naturally good at anything. If you want to develop a skill, you must put in the work for it, and that is what I do."

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

"My graduation!" Eden smiles at the memory. "I spent nearly ten years studying for my degree, and I was--and still am--very proud to have finished it." His smile dims and he looks away. "I... wish I had had more time to use it before my death."

anyway...... this isn't really exact, but i'm gonna go ahead and assign you my oc adeli santilian!

here's some old art of them from 2018:

adeli santilian (they/them) is a magician in a fun and funky fantasy world, and a big thing with them is that they have... basically no sense of self or identity. they've forgotten who they are entirely and have only, like... the loosest sense of self based on what people who knew the *old them* say. i think adeli would find not knowing how to talk about yourself deeply relatable, albeit for very different reasons.

but also aside from their deep-seated identity issues, adeli has a very direct approach to dealing with fear and anxiety. not quite the same as yours, but adeli's the kind of person to like. acknowledge that they're afraid, and then jump headlong in anyway. they face shit head on without flinching away.

The pod at the end of the row isn’t anything particularly noteworthy, at first. Aside from the shattered glass window and the lack of a hapless victim trapped within, it’s just like the rest of the pods in this wing of the nest. So much so, in fact, that Eden almost completely disregards it, quickly moving to the next in his desperate search for survivors to rescue.

That is, at least, until a glint of something catches in the corner of his eye, and he turns his head to look back at the mangled mess of meat and machinery. Before he fully realizes what he’s doing, Eden takes a step closer, holding his lantern up to better examine the device.

There’s blood on the jagged remains of the window. Dried and crusty, maybe a few months old, but blood nonetheless. A glance inside the pod itself reveals more blood, accompanied by the occasional chunk of viscera. Something about the sight makes Eden’s heart sink in his chest.

Whoever crawled out of this thing must have escaped long ago, he reasons to himself. If they’re dead, then there’s nothing I can do for them now. That should be the end of it. His curiosity is sated, and he has more work to do.

So why can’t he tear himself away?

I'll come out n say it,,, TF2 has a wonky ass universe n everyone's fuckin weird n rude and stupid as all hell. Just how i like em. I feel like your type is more on the serious side, quiet n cunning so tbh Spy would be my go to answer but my Huge Brain is saying Sniper. He's born n raised in the Outback n he be like 'not like the other kids' so he isolated himself n said 'gotta get good at something' n figured, snipin' a good job. He's 'Profesional' n has 'standards' to some degree. But his real selling points is that hes a ride of bitch mf and he cares ab family a lot idk that always hits different 😔❤ hes kinda quiet but hes not shy? hes just like ... vibing.
