:: GO FOR GOLD ::
-> Yuzuru is back in the public eye with his figure skating once more with the Olympics gearing up once again. With that, practices are back in full swing, with only one goal in mind: GOLD.

A/N: I love a good Yuzu story, so here's mine lol. Yes, I already know what he got at the Olympics this year, so this is not meant to make fun of what he got (I'm just glad he got on the podium with the hole in the ice and all).
THURSDAY
The ice rink was filled, many other skaters running their routines over and over and over again, hoping to make sure that they got it perfectly for the upcoming Olympics. You? You were no different, resting by the side of the rink, taking a sip of water as you had ran your routine multiple times. The cold water didn't faze you, but what did was your boyfriend of two years falling onto the ice next to you after a failed jump.
You quickly helped him up, offering him a water that he accepted, leaning against the same wall. He ran a hand though his jet black hair, sighing out of frustration. The Japanese man was a very driven man, wanting to always put his best foot forward at all times and to him, at the moment he wasn't.
"Yuzu, you gotta take breaks. You've been here since 6." You laughed softly, noticing the small smirk that graced your boyfriend's face for a second before he drank from the cold bottle. "You've been here since 6:30" he pointed out, making you shove his shoulder before he laughed softy, wrapping an arm around him as he watched the many other skaters move around the rink. He let his fingers drum against your waist, tapping to the rhythm of a skater's solo song that played on the club's speakers. The club was perfect in every way for the two, Canada's harsh weather not coming to harm anyone inside.
You were pulled from your thoughts when a loud voice from behind you gagged, making you turn around to see your coach you and your boyfriend had. Brian Orser stared at you both with fake disgust, Yuzu laughing at his face before unwrapping his arm from around you, his hand moving to gently pat his face, making Orser laugh.
"Alright you two, it's Yuzuru turn to run his short program." Yuzu nodded, turning to place a short kiss onto her forehead before patting his stuffed animal Winnie The Pooh, skating off into the middle of the rink as the many other skaters clapped and cheered from the seats that surrounded the rink. You moved to sit next to Brian and Tracy, cheering him on from there.
You were always the amazed over how amazingly and beautifully he looked when he skated, his whole-body language changed as he moved gracefully around the rink, his movements beautiful. His eyes met yours once he opened it from landing a jump, a smile gracing both faces before he returned to performing, his focus always making you awe.
As he finishes, the room erupts into applause, a blush coming onto his face. "He always takes my breath away when he performs. It takes a true performer to take some chorography and make it not only into his own, but into art.
As he skates over to join the three of you, he asks for feedback from Brian, who gave him advice and corrections. He nodded, taking every single word in. Once they were done, Tracy rubbed your back, smiling softly. "Your turn, Y/N." You felt a surge of nerves come through her, moving to take off your guards before going onto the ice, side hugging Yuzu. "You got this. I know you do." Brian patted your head, giving you a bit more confidence. Before you could skate to the middle of the rink, Yuzu placed a quick kiss onto her forehead before going to sit where you had just sat. You nodded, taking a deep breath before skating to the middle, the room erupting in cheers.
You chose to focus on the music, closing your eyes as you listened to the beginning of the music before opening your eyes, confidence on your face as you gracefully moved around on the ice. The music almost filled you as you skated, moving as graceful as you move. Your jumps were almost textbook, Tracy saying softly that you were moving like a pro ballet dancer, Yuzu agreeing.
Once you finish, the room filled with cheers and applause, a shy smile coming onto your face as you skate back over to the group, softly putting a piece of hair behind your ear.
As you reached the group, Yuzu hugged you tightly, spinning around with you, praising your movements. Your coach (Tracy but Brian also helps) gave you some pointers, but saying that overall, you did well.
"Thank you. I'm just worried about the performance. I just don't want to get too confident and perform poorly." Your coaches scoff, waving off your worry. "It's sometimes good to be overconfident. Heck, if I was as good as you two, I'd be confident as hell." His comment made you both laugh, any nerves leaving you both.
SUNDAY
"Y/N, calm down."
You were pacing back and forth in the waiting room, shaking your hands as you moved. You were going on in an hour, and the nerves you had shaken off on Thursday had now returned. Your boyfriend and coaches watched you pace, trying to calm you down before a staff member of the event came to deliver your dress for your skate.
The minute to you saw it and the attendant left, you were in full panic mode, your boyfriend getting up to hug you. "You're going to do well, Y/N, don't worry." You looked up your boyfriend, shaking your head before going back to pace, Yuzu sighing at your weird pacing.
"OK miss pacer, let's get you ready for your performance. And please, no more pacing, you're gonna get sweaty."
(This is your dress worn by this beautiful skater)
You put on the team jacket before following behind everyone to the rink, holding your boyfriend's hand tightly as you all walked.
Once you all reached the rink, you stared at the filled rows upon rows of people, all with masks on but every seat looked filled. You were ushered to were you all were sectioned to be, going back to shaking your hands to make you calm down. "Y/N. Please, stop before you stress yourself out more than you already are." Brian pleaded. You stopped, removing your jacket before handing it to the coach. Yuzuru came behind you, wrapping his arms around you, placing a kiss onto your cheek. "You got this, Y/N." He whispered into your ear, placing another kiss onto your cheek again.
As you got onto the ice you gripped the rink side, trying to calm down as your heart pounded, closing your eyes as you took a deep breath. "Go out there and knock em' dead" Brian smiles.
You nod, opening your eyes again before pushing off the side, skating around before going to the middle, smiling softly. As you skated you moved around the rink beautifully, letting the music once again take you over. As you landed a high jump, you smiled at the claps. Once done, you bowed, skating back over to your coaches who hug you before you jump into Yuzu's arms, giggling as he praises you in rushed Japanese. You understood some words, walking with him to the score section of the arena, your coaches behind you cheering loudly. As you waited, you played with your stuffed Kuromi plush that Yuzu got you on your first date. Ever since then, you brought it to every competition, like how Yuzu brings his Winnie The Pooh to his.
"335.98"
Tears prickle your eyes as loud cheers erupt from the sides of you, both from Yuzu and your coaches as you let your head rest on Yuzu's shoulder. "I told you. You got this."
The moment was short lived as Men's skate being announced to be up next.
You followed Yuzuru as he changed and prepared for his skate, watching him move around as he listened to the show music. As he made his way to the rink, just as you did, he squeezed your hand. As you made your way back to the same section, you got a bad feeling rushing through you, trying to figure out why. You had gotten the same feeling when Yuzu collided with the other skaters that one time, so you were worried on why that feeling had all of a sudden returned. As Yuzuru's name was announced, he moved to the ice, moving to the side as you whispered into Tracy's ear "I have a bad feeling. Like really bad." Tracy turned to you, trying to figure out what you meant but before you could explain, you were pulled by Brian to Yuzu who was asking for you. Before he goes on, you always kiss him, so he found it weird that you weren't there.
"Good luck." You smiled, trying to hide your stress as you kissed him, small "Oohs" and wolf whistles erupting around you both. As you pulled back, you placed a quick kiss onto his blushed cheeks before you watched him push away from the side, skating to the center. The minute he turned away, you turned to Tracy. She shrugged, looking around with you for the cause of your bad feeling. "Maybe you're wrong?"
...
..
.
You were not wrong.
Yuzuru came off the ice mumbling in Japanese as he put his guards on. He was doing perfect in his skating routine, until he was going for a jump when he noticed a hole in the ice. He decided against it, which brought his score down.
You followed quietly behind, sitting next to him at the score area. Brian tried offer some positive words to him, Yuzu just shaking it off and obvious still fuming over what happened. At the sound of his score, he dropped his head, his hand moving to hold and squeeze yours. As you all were escorted back to the warmup rooms, Yuzu explained to the staff about the hole in the ice, making them send someone out to the ice to fix it. When he sat down next to you in the room, he leaned down to lay his head in your lap. "You better get gold, Y/N." He looked up at you, raising an eyebrow.
"At least one of us should win." He smiled, leaning up to kiss you. You promised, hugging him tightly.
When you went back to the podium, you proudly stood on the number one place as you looked over at Yuzuru who cheered loudly with your coaches. You smiled softly, rubbing your arms as you waved at him. As you got down, the men skaters who placed on the podium skated over to the three women, including you. You opened your arms, letting Yuzuru hug you tightly, his silver medal clinking against your gold one. "Ugh, I'm so ready to get out of these skates and sleep." You whined, Yuzu laughing softly before a photographer came over asking for a photo of you two. You held up your metal, same with Yuzuru. As you two took the photos, you noticed him glancing at you, soon bumping you with his hip. You laughed softly making him drop his metal, so it rested against his chest as he picked up, skating back over to the coaches as the photographers kept taking photos of you two while laughing before moving on to the others.
You took off your skates, putting on your sneakers as Yuzu danced around with his metal, waiting for you to finish. "I'm glad you both are happy. Especially after everything." Yuzuru nodded, his arm moving to wrap around your shoulder as he walked with everyone back to the bus to go back to the hotel.
"What does the gold medalist want for dinner?" Yuzu asked as he helped you get onto the bus, laughing at your thoughtful look as he sat next to you. "Fried Chicken and Fried rice" you laughed, your weird craving combination making him chuckle.
"Fried chicken and Fried rice it is."
