Souvenir photograph from 1922 commemorating the visit of General Silas Grint’s mummified corpse to the halls of Logan Marsh Academy in Cold Cherry, Texas.
A revered benefactor of the prestigious military academy, General Grint’s corpse made a sincere effort to visit the school at least once a year, even in years when the high humidity threatened to jump-start his body’s suppressed decaying processes.
Though little is known of the General’s ultimate fate, his last public appearance was at a car show at Houston’s Astrohall in 1984, during which he unfortunately leaked a pungent, tar-like substance across the front seat of a 1967 Shelby GT500 Super Snake, hastening his expulsion from the venue.
