A quirky dual plot line novel, set in communist Romania.
Darkly humorous but a little difficult to follow on occasion. The time skips and location jumps meant that I wasn't always sure of how far along the separate plots were, plots that didn't really combine until quite near the end. The absurdity did make it a little more tolerable, and the scene incorporating the title was farcical in the extreme, an almost sad indictment of a totalitarian education system.
Fun if you can keep up with the plot, but I personally found myself having to re-read several times to make sure I knew what was going on.
Pic of the Day: That time James Marsters fulfilled every little boy's dream & grew up to become an astronaut! (Or at least, he played one on tv... whatever) aka @JamesMarstersOf playing Buzz Aldrin in #Moonshot 2009 #JamesMarsters @TheRealBuzz
Astronaut!
Astronaut!
When I was buying lunch food the other day there was a $2 off Capri Sun coupon on it. I don't really like Capri Sun, but ya know... $2 is a lot. Well, the Capri Sun was on sale for $2. $2 minus $2 is zero. So now I own a box of Capri Sun that I don't really like because it doesn't taste real.
On the upside, it makes me feel like an astronaut.
