Prague the historical city
We got to Prague around noon and headed straight to our hostel, got showered, changed and headed out to see Prague. Since we didn't have a tour guide book we grabbed a map from the hostel and walked around Prague figuring out the main attractions. We saw a beautiful castle at the top of a hill so we climbed the stairs and saw the city from a high point of view. The Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle in the world, dating from the 9th century. Unfortunately it was closed but it was beautiful on the outside. It was getting dark so we headed back to the hostel. Our hostel was filled with backpackers and thst night they were doing a pub crawl around Prague. Unfortunately we were exhausted both from walking Poland and Prague so we just wanted to rest. Everyone at the hostel left for the pub crawl and we stayed in gowever we got hungry and right across the hostel was a bar that served food as well. We waited at a table to be served and as we waited we saw a panflet saying that Prague was one of the most haunted cities in Europe. We asked our waiter if this was true and he replied I have no idea however we do have the best weed: as he pulled a joint right out of his pant pocket. After we were done eating he said he was on break and that if we wanted to smoke with him. Me being the curious george that I am accepted his proposal and got high with him! In a matter of seconds I was having a conversation with him in czech as we taught each other words and laughed our butts off. My girlfriend just watched us as we kept getting high. We finished the joint, paid the bill and went back to the hostel tipsy and high! Prague Day 2 The next day we woke up really early because there were alot lf attractions we wanted to see before our train left to our next location. We went to the famous astronomical clock said to be one of the oldest clocks to still be functioning! Then we proceeded to cross the Charles Bridge: another important tourist attraction in Prague. We also went into a torture chamber which was pretty neat because we got to see all the torture weapons they used back in the 15th century. The day was going great and we were having a normal tourist day however if you've been following our luck during this eurotrip, something was bound to go wrong! We decided to go back to the hostel but since we had walked the majority of the attractions we decided to take the subway back. Not knowing you needed a ticket to go into the subway since we saw people walk by without showing anything we decided to follow them. Already on the train we saw this big guard ask for tickets and everyone pulled them out. There was no turning back now we were trapped. The big guard came up to us and asked for our tickets but we told him we didn't have any. Immediately at the next stop 2 cops came and took us off the train. They took our passports and said that we needed to pay a fine and if we did't we would go to jail. Remember we had no money because we were on a tight budget. Both of us begged for our lives as the cops spoke among themselves. I remember hugging my girlfriend and saying if we die in jail know that I love you! The cops came back to where we were kneeling almost crying and handed our passports back. My girlfriend grabbed her stuff and ran up the stairs to an exit as I was still in shock. I then reacted grabbed my stuff and left the underground station. On the way back to the hostel we were wondering how bad jail would ve in Czech Republic. We got back to the hostel grabbed our luggages and then headed to the train station to be on our way to our next country: Slovakia!
