My comfort character is AOS Chekov. One reason is that, having skipped two grades and being the youngest person in my school, I identify with him being the youngest officer in Starfleet—but he is mostly my comfort character because of his sheer kindness, wisdom, positivity, sweetness, and adorableness. Whenever I’m angry or sad or panicking, which is often, I imagine Chekov right next to me, talking me through it, stroking my hair and telling me everything is going to be okay in his little Russian accent. It sounds weird, but it really helps and makes me feel better—and as soon as I saw your collection of “comfort characters” I felt so happy knowing that I was not alone.
