I'm often asked why I wear a tie on Fridays. This is my attempt to show some of the folks in my area, young and old, a tie id's not only meant for funerals, court and job interviews. It's not just a mark of professionalism. It's a mark of self care that needs to be transferred to the general public. A lot of people have trepidation about bringing their sons to the barbershop for the first time. The general fear is that the kid will act out and ruby every step of the way. The truth is mist kids acquiesce to a good barber's touch. Initially they are scared because it's a new experience. In the end they are usually all smiles. My approach is simple: I don't look at the kid as a 💲. I look to establish a relationship. The same goes for adults. Singe barber's look at kids as burdens. I ALWAYS start with #Love.
