Biraddali

- a mythical race of ethereal women who descend to Earth to bathe in the mountains. Their detachable wings are stolen by men who want them as wives. Some myths end with the Biraddali finding their wings and returning to their home, and some end with their husbands undergoing challenges to become worthy of the Biraddali. (Tausug, Sulu)

Context: I did this for a class a few months ago and I got hooked on the idea. Thought of sharing this here, too.

Nuno sa punso... the term was derived from the Tagalog words “nuno” and “punso” which means “ancestor” and “anthill”, respectively.
