I got the audiobook for birthday. I was super excited to get it, but now I'm dying. I like the voices and accents she does, but why on Earth did she decide to channel William Shatner for the pacing and emphasis??? I heard her do a live reading before the book came out and she didn't do it then! It sounded great when she just read it like a normal person. Wtf happened??
When I bought the audio book I mentioned that I was excited about it on an app called "candid". Someone asked what book, so I linked them, and they said it looked interesting, they're buying their own copy. Spreading the plague! =)
I'm still really upset that Emilie removed Suffer from the audiobook to replace him with a large spoon with the only reason being that she can use a gift from the rats as a weapon. Suffer works better both with the story of him belonging to another inmate who was quite kind to the rats, making it a more touching moment, particularly because he was more unique than simply a larger spoon and that it was something always present in the concerts was really sweet
I toyed with this idea a few years ago and then completely forgot about it; I've been thinking again about doing readings of TAFWVG on YouTube in a soft-spoken/ASMR style. I would be using the original story, not whatever the hell Emilie did to the story for the audiobook... Would anyone be interested?
Hi, I’m new and I’ve read this blog for many times … I’m not really aware about what Emilie wants to do with her carreer, but I was wondering … will she do another album? Because here everyone is worried about the audiobook and I understand because I think they’ve spent a lot of money for it (NOT ME) … but I follow Emilie Autumn for her music and … Why did she stop? What kind of singer would stop her music for so long??? I’m really disappointed NOT for the audiobook (for it I DON’T GIVE A FUCK SORRY) but for the music!! 💟

Emilie is currently working on The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls musical, and has been since before she released FLAG. FLAG is meant to be a section of the musical itself. From the sound of it (given that she just got braces and will be getting jaw surgery) there will not be another album until the musical’s debut.
The audiobook came out over the summer, and while there were hiccups with people not receiving theirs, not receiving a signed copy, etc., that drama is largely over.
She hasn’t stopped making music, we’ve seen snippets of lyrics and sheet music for several new songs on twitter and instagram, but these are being reserved for the musical, not another album.
I think we’re all a little disappointed that we haven’t received any new music since 2012, but that’s where she’s choosing to go with her career and I, for one, support it completely.

I've just been listening to the audio book and have been wondering why Emilie would make such a minor change as making The Captain blonde instead of having black hair. I wonder if it's because she was blonde before Veonca took the role.
I just went on the Wayward Victorian Confessions page and notice that the last post on there, from August 2014, was about the audio book except. It took her TWO YEARS.
I wanted to finally purchase the book and audio book, so I thought the date of her birthday would be perfect. Only, I was too short on money this last month. :(
