Maybe call the cops? Unless you're 100% sure it was a supernatural thing or hallucination. Even if it was nothing it can be comforting to call the cops or a trusted friend?

anyway in today’s episode of absurdity somebody stole my trash can... joke’s on them because I’d recognize her anywhere: she’s got several cracks from when I had to tilt the can over to clean it out (which was hell).
So this Wednesday I get the pleasure of staking out which can exactly was taken and waiting for the trash people to come by so I can take it back right after they empty it...
