Dude, they’re not doing anything they don’t want to. They want my sweet cheddar, and I wanna see some stuff in exchange. It’s mutual, free market!
Outer Worlds is a setting parodying late-stage capitalism. As just one example, early in the game you hear the story of a person who committed suicide and was consequently fined for destruction of company property.
So when I referenced the game earlier in the episode, apparently I was bang on the money, just not for the reason I thought.
Jake gave himself a seat belt even though the whole car is just him shapeshifting. Nice detail.
What the heck?
It’s that elephant from the episode where Jake stretched himself out too much.
I’ve never really spent money before. I’ve only stolen it, or horded it.
Yeah, that sounds right.
They just left the elephant here this whole time?
That was like 4 seasons ago.
“Hi, you’re probably wondering how I ended up here.”
People like to say money can’t solve all of your problems.
That’s technically true, but the list of problems money can solve is pretty damn long.
