"Simtari" 400 MINI is up for Early Acess!

Releasing today for the release of the real thing, it will be public on the 18th!

I made a retro style catalog page for it, too. I really like making these - it makes me strangely happy.

The console is fully functional, can be upgraded and is small and adorably-sized to the real mini! The joystick is clutter, as the console will use whatever controller you have installed.

I never really know if I should post my "real" "work" stuff here or not because I feel like Tumblr is mostly a place to post about cum and homestuck, but here's a thing I did today!

The Atari 400 was my first real computer and video game machine. I love that Atari brought it back in the form of a mini console kind of thing. Final product needs a little work, though. Here's me reviewing The400 Mini.

If this were four years ago, I would have been all over this Atari 400 Mini. It looks like they did a great job on it. Healthy selection of games, upgraded 2600 controller.

I just sold all my mini consoles (Sega Genesis, Commodore 64, SuperNES) as well as the Retron 77, so it’d be silly to try this one out.

Well I am a little late on this one, shows how far behind I am.

It comes with 25 games and like the c64 mini you can play games off a usb stick.

Most of the games I know from the arcade or playing them on the c64. Graphically they look similar to the Atari 5200 which I think is pretty comparable (Now I want to go down the rabbit hole of seeing what the differences are in the games.)

I noticed Yoomp is on the list which is a fairly modern homebrew from 2007. Again I know it from the C64 port and again I wonder if there are other homebrew games in the collection
