I've noticed my name in a lot of people's mouths lately. At first, I was a little annoyed but then I realized it's something I'll have to get used to as I slowly become more famous. So go ahead and keep talking while I bask my own awesomeness.

I've noticed my name in a lot of people's mouths lately. At first, I was a little annoyed but then I realized it's something I'll have to get used to as I slowly become more famous. So go ahead and keep talking while I bask my own awesomeness.
It's time to make a big announcement!
As some of you may know, but not everyone as I didn't advertise it due to my over-excitement in other auditions which ended up getting me nowhere - about two months ago, I decided to audition for the role of Fanny Brice in the Broadway revival 'Funny Girl'. Now, for those of you who know me even a little bit will know my obsession with a) Barbra who played Fanny Brice both on stage and on screen, and b) Funny Girl which is more amazing than I could ever put into words and finally, c) Broadway.
Alas, after audition after audition, getting through each and every stage, I started to wonder if my dream could actually become a reality because I overheard the director expressing concerns over my young age. However, at nineteen, I am hardly the youngest ever lead actress and yes, it is an iconic role and yes, it would be my first Broadway role but everyone starts somewhere. And Rachel Berry will only accept starting from the top.
However, I never started to doubt myself and my abilities, so I went out there and I showed them that I was the best, and the only person for that role. And that is why I am making this announcement - you are all looking at a future Broadway star (we all knew this would happen, suffice to say, to everyone who chucked a slushy in my face because my dreams were bigger than yours... well, you'll feature in my auto-biography in many years to come). I will be playing Fanny Brice in Funny Girl - and don't forget, one of those songs won us our first ever sectionals to all those New Direction members out there.
Flowers and cards of appreciation and congratulations can be sent to my home address. And yes, they are expected.
I had, like, no homework this entire week. Now that it's the weekend, I get loaded with it. Why do teachers feel the need to pile it on so all I'm doing is focusing on school during the only two days of the week that I have off?
I don't know why..
But I decided to make cupcakes today. I think I've baked like twice in my entire life. Unless you count when I'd help Mi Abuela when I was younger. But, I had a craving and I had nothing else to do so I went for it. The kitchen is kind of a mess, just a warning for Berry and Hummel.
If you didn't know, college and internships take up a lot of time. Especially theatre oriented classes and internships based on fashion. Tumblr is going head-to-head with those things, trying to captivate me. Suck me in and never let me go. Who wants to update me on social things outside of pop culture? Simply because I've been kept up-to-date on the events of celebrities quite well.
Don't place bets on how long I can hold off on using this website. Or if you do, bet against me. Let's be honest.
Introducing the extended version of my M&M commercial for you all. You're welcome. Go ahead and tell me how awesome I am.
Alright, bitches.
Sorry I haven't been around much lately, I'm sure that you've all missed my gorgeous face and even more so my viscous viscous words. But I've had a busy and productive week. I finished the M&M commercial completely and got to see the final product. It looks totally awesome and it'll be coming to a television screen near you in a week. Also, I booked a gig, singing at a club tonight. It's a little dingy, but I'm making 100 bucks, plus whatever tips that I make. So if anyone is around, and wants to come see real talent, hit me up.
Greetings, followers!
I thought it best to start off with a short introduction to myself, and my blog, because it's always best to remind people who they are following. As some of you may know, I am Rachel Barbra Berry - the co-captain of the New Directions (or rather, was... now that I have graduated, the crown has passed to a worthy cause), and also the winner of the winter showcase and the future of Broadway.
You can expect a lot of New York, NYADA, Broadway, Barbra, music and friends to be displayed here and I will do my best to answer any and all questions you may have for me. Whilst I firmly believe not to post anything inappropriate, or too personal as it may follow me into my foreseen fame, I will try to remain as honest as I possibly can.
So, thank you for following me, I am sure you won't regret the decision when you get to say you knew of, or knew, the Rachel Berry: Broadway Star, in a few years time.
