Athenachus headcanons🦉🐺

~ Telemachus is Athena's light, the sunshine man to his moonlight goddess

~ Golden retriever x Owl Lady

~ Girlboss x Malewife (Telemachus is masculine and identifies as a man (imo, not saying it’s canon), but does not disdain alternative activities to the “binarily” manly ones such as studying the language of flowers, music and poetry/philosophy)

~ They can talk to each other about anything

~ Telemachus falls in love first, Athena a little later for the "He’s a human mortal, I’m an immortal goddess" issue, however: he fell first, she fell harder

~ Despite Athena not having irises Telemachus always manages to understand the subtleties in her moods

~ Athena's owl considers Telemachus his other parent

~ Athena teaches Telemachus to fight, he teaches her to dance (that’s how the first sparks of realization begin rising in Athena’s heart)

~ Athena is super protective of Telemachus, even though she conceals it well (to humans)

~ They have blind faith in each other

~ The first the first time Athena ever laughed out loud was with Telemachus, when he made a comment about how Zeus, being the progenitor of humanity and the king of the gods, perhaps has too much free time for the 🔞

~ When they tell Odysseus and Penelope they’re together Penelope, despite the surprise, is happy; Odysseus asks Athena to protect his son in a serious way, but then he makes a couple of jokes about being related to a deity again (if I'm not mistaken one of their ancestors is an Olympian God) via the future union

~ When word reaches Olympus that Athena has become engaged to a human (who is the prince of Ithaca, not just a rando) her brothers and sisters start spying on Telemachus to get an idea of him and at a certain point he is summoned there to have a meeting with her family XD

~ Telemachus ends up becoming the couple therapist of Zeus and Hera (I have the headcanon that he is extremely emotionally intelligent and wise beyond his age), with the latter who then post-session comments on Telemachus' answers to the treacherous questions she asked him to understand what he thinks of her daughter and Telemachus who lists all of Athena's qualities and why they should be happy to have her as a daughter

~ Athena can read the Telemachus' body like an open book and can understand how he is from a sigh, a micro expression or a movement of his fingers

~ I think they would be very playful despite Athena's tendency to composure, and that they would be silent and very tender in expressing affection (silent hand clasps during a walk, glances that contain a thousand words and the like)

~ When Zeus summoned Telemachus to the Olympic Stadium because the latter wanted to ask him and Hera for Athena’s hand, after having faced various tests and having won them obtaining to ask them a question, Telemachus asked them when Athena's birthday was

~ Athena likes to run her hands through Telemachus' hair, especially when she is stressed, annoyed or angry it makes her calm down very quickly

~ She allows herself to be vulnerable with him, he allows himself to be "just" Telemachus and not the son of Odysseus with her

~ Before letting Hades take Antinous to hell, Athena "took aside" the latter's soul to have a “””chat””” with him for having bullied her warrior of the mind

~ Both always wear shades of blue, her a more saturated one in combo with silver, him a more pastel one in combo with cream

HELLOOOO EPIC THE MUSICAL COMMUNITY! i like Athenachus and i think they’re cuties so i’m throwing this little thing out there. i call it Athenachus Week, but it doesn’t have to be in the span of a week; i know as well as anyone how impossible creative challenges with a time frame are. these are just seven lovely prompts that anybody can use, any time, in any order, for Athenachus appreciation :)
