[ For @athilthorne‘s Athil Thorne. I had a big O O F moment when looking for inspiration, and I’ll be honest, I was desperate to grab a hold of something - I’ve got a couple of people on hold already trying to figure out more about their characters, and I really didn’t want to have to do the same for you. BUT I think I got onto something, maybe. I didn’t plan to return to a Rainbow Kitten Surprise song as a means for inspiration, but boy am I glad I did (I played around with Stuck in the Sound and Glass Animals, but they didn’t give me what I was looking for, unfortunately, I still recommend them highly for music!). They’re also one of those bands who’s style seems to change with each song, but they all weren’t what I was looking for. And I was about to second-guess this song; though I’ve realized that my second-guessing usually leads to missed opportunities. It’s Called: Freefall has... darker meanings to it’s lyrics, a “read between the lines” style; you can’t take it face value or else you’ll miss the point. ... That’s if you’re not trying to apply it to a character, however, taking it face value is probably best in this scenario. Especially for someone like Athil! Whom I did have a lot of fun reading prompts for, very straight forward and to the point; cheeky and sneaky, can have a good sense of humor - though based on what I could find, all of that felt much like a mask to hide pain. A song about dealing with the Devil and getting what you didn’t expect felt right, that even the Devil got tired of the joy and [Athil’s] ability to make friends anywhere; but in the end, to just... let it go, let life take it’s course, to stop fighting. I hope you enjoy this song as much as I do, and I hope I can see more of your character soon - please let me know if it’s not to your liking, and I can set something up to learn more and fix it~ ]
