Athletic goth gf 😳
Vibes
lol my phone said it was 82F when I left home, it feels like 95-96. Guess who tried to go nine miles in this fuckery....? This lil idiot boy right here~
I stopped into the nearest gas station; which had a place to sit yay~; and stopped for about 15-20 minutes, got myself an electrolyte replacement, and cooled off before going home again. TBPH I'm super glad I had sunscreen, AND my Cold Towel. {You get it wet and 'snap' it and it gets slightly below freezing it's super amaze I love it.}
I always wear a hat and apply sunscreen when I'm on the bike before dark, but tbh, there are times when it's smarter to just stay home. My goal of biking 2-10 miles every day doesn't require me to pass out from heat exhaustion. {I didn't but it got close a few times and I stopped off in the shade to drink more and nibble on the snacks I put in my bag~}
Just....ffs sake, friends in Texas and other parts of the South.... please, please be smarter than I was today. If you have to be out, keep to the shade, wear a hat and sunscreen, and make sure you have an electrolyte replacement + water. Water alone can actually cause you problems if you get dehydrated and make heat exhaustion worse. If you hate gatorade, try electrolyte gummies you can get them at CVS and probably Walgreens.
