There's little time for either of them, as the villain that threatens the world seeks to draft someone else to her cause: Killjoy.” Review: Killjoy has been awakened and recruited to “The Accuser’s” cause. Together they will continue to punish the world. Back at the COI facility, not only has Carin adjusted to her new enhancements, she is anxious to use them. She wants to help her father, but he insists on going it alone. It is revealed that there is another to be added to the CyberForce, but it remains to be seen whether or not Stryker will be willing to accept help from this new source. Hill & Hawkins have prepared the way for the rest of the series with dynamic team building. It is clear that neither team is without conflict, and any alliance is likely to be fragile. The battles will no doubt be spectacular, but the tensions on either side give the story more depth. Atilio Rojo has captured the body horror inherent in these unasked for scientific improvements to human flesh. We are shown both the beauty and the ugliness and how at least some of the characters are repulsed by it all. The Bottom Line: Powerful, if reluctant heroes and rage fueled villains are gathering to do battle for the fate and the future of the world.
