ATIN-LU Dining in La Union is unusual especially when you dine in concept restaurants. Upon entering La Union, you will be welcomed by the municipality of Rosario and one of the best place to check-out is the old house concept restaurant, the Sagat Crust, which offers a variety of food like rice meals, noodles, ulam special, appetizer, all day merienda, dessert, chicken wings with the all the wing of love chicken, drinks and beverage, bubdle meals and the crust specialties. The best sellers are the empanada, halo-halo and pizza. I visited both resto, in Agoo and in Rosario, I specially recommend the Pork Asado thin crust pizza, so yummy and one thing I observed is that, the pizza is not oily and not hard, still so crunchy which I so like. The Association of Tourism Industries and Networks in La Union represented by Airwind Bautista, ATIN-Lu Tourism Director for Events & Publicity joined the Department of Agrarian Reform’s Media Tour on Farm Sites. Inabaan Norte Agricultural Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Brgy. Inabaan Norte, Rosario, La Union The media interviewed Jose Laroya, Chairman, Rosalina Vere, Manager and Jovelyn Carrera, Treasurer wherein they shared how their cooperative had conceptualized to make salted egg as an income generating project, but due to low supply of eggs, selling pork is an additional project and since they recently had been trained, they will be making TOGI chips as well as continue to construct Bio Mass as the cooperative had been tasked by clients in need. Indeed it was a great help that DAR provided assistance to the cooperative since they were able to make a good start in their income generating projects which will be a source of livelihood to the members. The Association of Tourism Industries and Networks in La Union represented by Airwind Bautista, ATIN-Lu Tourism Director for Events & Publicity joined the Department of Agrarian Reform’s Media Tour on Farm Sites. The Department of Agrarian Reform personnels guided the media at the Halog West, Tubao, La Union, the site of the office of Halog West Producers Cooperative wherein Nena Panes shared the trials and triumphs of the said cooperative who produced the famous cornick of Tubao. Going to the said place is quite an adventure for guests but a daily struggle to the people of the place since they need to cross the river thru a bamboo racket. Thru the assistance of DAR, the members of the cooperative were able to survive the trials of the production and marketing of the cornick industry of Brgy. Halog West. It was also mentioned that farmers of tobacco turned into planting corns since they can harvest three times a year which means more profit. It can be noted that sampling the cornick, it is less salty and you can crunch more cornicks instead of garlic, salt and vetsin, making it to taste better and healthier to eat.
