Snowmageddon || Bella & Avan

Bella knew she shouldn’t have gone out. Not only had her sister warned her, but the news had been harping on people to stay indoors with this blizzard going on, too. But, being the little rebel she was, Bella didn’t take anyone’s sound advice. Instead, she wanted to get rid of her cabin fever by going out and going to the store. She put on her warmest coat and even if there was a crazy amount of snow outside piled up on the ground, it didn’t stop Bells from slipping on one of her new pairs of designer boots. Just because it was freezing outside didn’t mean she couldn’t look good, right? There was something so peaceful about snow; she hadn’t been anywhere where it snowed this much in a long time, aside from her family’s Christmas trips to Aspen, so she wanted to make the most of it. People seemed so annoyed by the snow but Bella thought it made the city look even more beautiful. Gigi was tired, so she stayed behind at the apartment and Bella told her sister she’d be back in an hour or two.
The brunette started walking, opting not to take a cab since there were a few stores and cafés near by. She figured at least one of them still had to be open but many businesses closed early because of all of the snow. Even if nothing was open, she was perfectly content walking around the city, listening to some music on her phone. After around 20 minutes of walking, Bella somehow got turned around. She couldn’t remember which street connected to the one she needed to follow back to her and Gigi’s apartment. And like usual, her constantly being on her phone meant the thing was almost dead. She got her GPS up and running on her phone but before she could even type in the address of her apartment, the thing died on her. At that point, Bella was starting to get a little frustrated; she started back the way she came but couldn’t remember which street she was supposed to turn on next since it was a weird intersection with three different directions. She realized when she was in the completely wrong area when she saw the street she remembered Avan saying he lived on. Realizing it was completely creepy to show up on his doorstep when they had only hung out a small handful of times, Bella casually walked past the flats lined up there, hoping she wouldn’t bump into him. But it was so cold outside and she still had no idea how far she had managed to wander away from her apartment. The only reason she remembered his address was because after they discovered their mutual love for music, she had brought some records over for him to give to his brother. Bella wasn’t the best when it came to finding her way home without relying on technology though. “Screw it,” she sighed, heading up to his door and ringing the doorbell. She couldn’t feel her hands and even though she was embarrassed about the whole situation, at least he would have a phone she could use.
