ZUKKA pls give us some zukka headcanons, queen <3

ahhh yes!! i haven’t gotten to the parts where they actually interact a lot but i’ve read a bunch of fic and stuff so i hope this is in character enough lol

of course, zuko and sokka don’t get along at first. they’re both stubborn and the other members of the gaang have to kind of push them together.

after they get past the tension and the awkwardness and everything, sokka quickly realizes that he really likes messing with zuko. it’s a silly way of still being a kinda mean to him without actually being mean, in the stupid schoolboy way of, like, pulling the girl you like’s hair

zuko is not very socially adept so he has no idea how to deal with this teasing, so he just kind of. Takes it very literally? like sokka cracks a joke and zuko is like “oh!! i get it!! that was funny, sokka” but doesn’t like really laugh?? and sokka is like. What.

sokka makes it his own mission to see if fire nation prince zuko is capable of laughing, and through a little playful roughhousing, winds up finding out zuko is ticklish

i imagine zuko is the kind of impulsive fool who would pull sokka in for a kiss to get him to stop tickling him (i could imagine him doing this with mai if she tickled him when they were younger, too, so i just think this is a very zuko move lmfao)

sokka loves taking advantage of how ticklish zuko is, literally whenever sokka is bored it’s wreck zuko time

zuko isn’t very good at tickling people back?? but i could literally see sokka being like. no no, do it more like this!! bc he wants zuko to enjoy tickle fights (and probably later regrets it when zuko finds his bad spots and makes him beg)

Mai actually is a super expressive texter, like emojis, talking Like This, or liKE THIS, or even LiKe tHiS, but all the time, and it reads very dramatically. Ty lee texts with lots of acronyms and all lowercase, and barely texts at all, so she leaves short replies and doesn't Do Texting very well, but that's because she often tries to reply to people with her feet, since she’s usually stretching or practicing her gymnastic abilities. Mai is often really bored in some Political Thing, so she wastes time by texting her gf and that's how she became this dramatic writer in her texts. Sometimes, she uses pictures of Ty Lee as emojis, and Ty lee loves it and keeps sending pictures of her imitating emojis, but like, that's the only part of the message.

I absolutely love The Avatar, and that entire universe and totally head cannon the following: Nico as a fire bender, as she is as passionate as she is calm, Molly as an earth bender because she is the rock of the group & goes into things head first, Chase as a water bender because he is always on the defense & cares about the well being of his family, Gert as an air bender (more like Tenzin from LOK vs. Aang) because she is level headed & righteous & Karo is the avatar as she is all of those

i’m gonna just do the main babes b/c i’m still not done w/ the show and i feel like i don’t have a good grip on everyone’s character!! so this is just the gaang + zuko

aang is probably really ticklish and i think you could argue that being canon b/c of how giggly he gets whenever appa or momo lick/nuzzle him. he’s just so bubbly and smiley and you know he thinks tickle fights are super fun, and he absolutely starts them (even if he knows he can’t finish them, specifically with sokka i think). he’s really ticklish on his neck and stomach, his laugh is so loud and boisterous and sweet. as a ler, he’s really ruthless and loves to strike with surprise and tickle til they tap out, because the avatar doesn’t do anything half-assed.

katara is ticklish too, but surprisingly not as much as you’d think. she’s sokka’s little sister, she’s used to getting tickled and has found her fun ways to escape or hide ticklish spots. she’s ticklish on her sides, thighs, and feet, and doesn’t like being tickled quite as much as she likes dishing it out. i feel like with katara, being tickled is something that really depends on who it is. with sokka, it’s something she’ll groan about and kick him off and get revenge, but it’s still playful. with aang, she lets him do it because he has so much fun, but he knows she’ll get him back. she has to trust someone, so it takes a while before toph and her exchange any tickly touches. as a ler, she’s teasy and ruthless.

sokka is actually probably the more ticklish sibling, but only because he’s worse at hiding his ticklishness. he’s ticklish under his arms and all over his legs, especially his knees. his laugh is super loud, uncontrollable, and high-pitched. i just know that suki would tease him about having a “girly” laugh. sokka is also probably the most skilled ler of the gaang simply because he’s the oldest and has a little sister who he used to tickle a lot, so he’s good at pinning his target down and finding their ticklish spots with ease. he’s very much a tease in the “don’t stop? sure, i won’t stop!” or the “don’t what? tickle you? okay!” kind of mind games.

toph is actually very ticklish and finds this fact super annoying. she’s usually really good at catching onto to when someone’s going to tickle her and striking first, with heartbeats and footsteps and all that. if someone can sneak up on her, though, her laugh is actually really sweet and childish and giggly, and she always tries to muffle it. her feet shouldn’t be sensitive since she’s always barefoot, but since she uses them to sense so much, they’re sensitive to any sensation, but she hates having her feet tickled and will absolutely kick you in the face and/or earthbend. her stomach and sides are fair game though!!

zuko is probably the most ticklish of the group, maybe second to toph, and no one expected him to be so sensitive but he literally crumples at a poke. his worst spots are his ribs and underarms, and his laugh starts off soft and giggly and slowly turns into this uncontrollable, sort of raspy laugh that is so contagious and cute. zuko secretly kinda likes being tickled, even though he thinks it’s really embarrassing, because it makes him feel like part of the group, and also reminds him of childhood and his mom. he’s not a very good tickler because he’s literally not tickled anyone maybe ever, except like maybe azula when they were super super little, like 5 and 3 type age, maybe given mai a little tweak to the side, but really, he is not good at it, he needs a tickle tutor, he just kinda pokes and hopes for a laugh?? he would pick up on it quickly if someone helped him figure it out, though. he’s not teasy but he probably giggles along with the lee!!!!!!

who’s the character that most people would assume is ticklish, but actually isn’t — katara is way less ticklish than you’d expect, but ty lee isn’t really ticklish which suprises everyone bc she just has cute giggly vibes!!

OMG NO NO WORRIES, I DO SHIP KATAANG!! i just don’t think i would write a full length fic for them but i can def do some headcanons!! i also did some sukka hcs here. 

aang absolutely tried to tickle katara a lot because he likes to see her smile and laugh, but katara absolutely fights back and he winds up getting rekt

cute tickle fights in the water and they’re like splashing and giggling and katara probably uses her waterbending to get the upperhand which aang giggles out is cheating

i read a fic once where katara’s healing powers kinda tickle depending where or what she’s healing so i imagine katara healing some trivial injury on aang and it’s like on his side or foot and he won’t stop laughing

katara usually wins tickle fights b/c she’s less ticklish but aang also doesn’t surrender easily so it’s a pretty even battle

what if Karolina is the avatar originally born to the air nation. But was trained to be a firebender all her life by jonah who took her from leslie when she was a baby. When she fire bends its all sort of different colors and she has a dragon. She runs into the runaways who just escaped from their parents, who have been working with jonah to release vatuu. At first she doesnt believe them. All her life she believed she was doing bringing her nation honor, but it was all a lie from her father.

i honestly see karrie more as a water bender. so what if karrie was born to the tribe leaders (leslie and frank) but it turned out her father was actually an outlawed firebender (jonah).
