Having already been back to work for a couple of weeks now, Ingrid couldn't feel more alive. Whether she liked it or not, she did need a break and even though it wasn't under her own conditions, the extra sleep had helped. Spotting a familiar tall figure approaching the bar, she quickly reached for a clean glass to prepare the usual drink. "Well, well -- long time no see." Ingrid greeted, placing the drink on the counter for him. "It's on the house. I don't know if Cam told you, but we have a policy of pampering grooms around here." It wasn't a secret, was it? If he asked her, Ingrid would tell him he always made dumb decisions, but it wasn't her who was about to suffer for the rest of her life. "If you stick around long enough, you might see her."

As soon as the text was sent, Maya regretted ever typing it. Staying home for what felt like weeks, the brunette had thrown herself at work. Sadly, that didn't help her forget about the fact Javi was roaming around town with a kid. What if someone from her family ran into him? All the questions they would have -- all the answers she'd have to give them, everything just was too overwhelming to think about. That was one of the reasons why she decided to head out and meet Atlas. With her earphones on, listening to whatever song was playing, a sigh escaped past her lips wondering if it was worth returning home soon, rather than later.

It was unusually busy for this time of the night, and Phoebe wondered if it were a result of Dry January, causing everyone to replace their alcohol intake with caffeine instead. She was only here because it was one of the few places open late, with home not being an option for many reasons, and not really in the mood for company.

Phoebe was on her way back from the bathroom to the small corner booth she had claimed pretty early on in the night, though a discarded bag on the ground she didn't see made her trip, causing her to almost knock into someone, just narrowly avoiding having hot coffee spill on her. “Prick,” She muttered under her breath, looking up to see who she almost collided with, shoulders relaxing at recognizing Atlas. “Not you, that other guy. But then again, if the shoe fits...”

It was clear on the host's face as CJ rocked up to be seated that he was definitely not the right clientele for this establishment. He wouldn't have chosen this place either, normally, but really wanted to celebrate how good his life was. "Hey, I have a reservation for Welford, CJ." When the host showed him the table, where he was sure they rolled their eyes as they did so, he grinned at the occupied seat, waiting for Atlas to stand before greeting him with a shoulder-slap hug. "Dude! You showed! Hope you're hungry for like....lobster and whatever else rich people eat!"

As Naomi settled into a lazy routine, she found that she lost contact with some of her dearest childhood friends. Atlas was one of them; on the surface he seemed like an asshole jock, though he had a sweet side to him that is revealed when getting to know him. More than once he protected her from bullies and stood up for her when she lacked the confidence to do so, and for that she remained grateful. Hitting him up, suggesting to grab some pizza after work, she was joyful that he was free and willing. When she saw him walking into the place she stood up and gave him a warm, friendly hug when he got closer, “Atlas! I swear you got taller or something.” She laughed, “Oh my god, how are you? It’s been ages!”

“Atlas Williams, you are in so much trouble!” She’s a little louder than she means to be, probably drawing a few eyes from around the milling partygoers and she’s definitely going to have to apologize to Ash for abandoning him while they were in the process of getting drinks but this was a confrontation a long time coming, although she hadn’t known that until a few days ago. “It was you,” she hisses lowly, trying to at least make an effort to keep the conversation between the two of them, though she’s fairly sure the finger she’s poking into his flannel covered chest is getting her anger across just fine. “Three years! Three years we were together and you avoided me the whole time. Do you know how much that hurt my feelings?” Ironic that he was one of the people she felt she was growing closest to when he apparently couldn’t stand her for so long.

It was a beautiful day in Providence Peak and Yao wanted to do something for himself. As much of a thrill as it was to be infatuated with someone, he had to remember to pace himself with romantic entanglement, to not get lost in love or lust. He was still shy of a year of sobriety and that was important to him. So he would spend today on retreat from work and his usual companions to finally cash in the prize he’d won months ago for a free experience at the Wolf Rescue. It was something he’d been meaning to check out even before he moved to Providence Peak but now had a perfectly good excuse to follow through on. “Hey, nice day out. I was told to find someone named Atlas?”
