Sometimes they are referred to as collaborative writers—same thing. When a ghostwriter writes a book for someone, even if they produce most of the content, they are the writer of the book, not the author. The author of the book is the person whose story or message is being told. Why do people use ghostwriters? My collaborative clients are entrepreneurs, celebrities or Christian leaders who are wisdom rich but time-poor. In other words, they don't have the time to write or learn to write their own books, but the message still needs to get out there. These people recognize the value of time and how to best use it. That's what God does. He still uses ghostwriters (like me) to get the message out that He wants to be written, whether it pertains to business, ministry, relationships or any other subject in which He has an interest.
