Yuri Game Jam 2 Notes Entry 0
This is a post to collect my thoughts and pitch my project for Yuri Game Jam 2016, the second of such jams and the second I will be participating in.
Last year, I made the short JRPG/VN lovechild, An Escort Mission, about deducing who in a brothel is an assassin in disguise by hiding out as a janitor.
This year, we’re looking at a similar theme of exploring the idea of multiple ends in “Save The Last Dance”
STLD will be an Interactive Fiction game, think Zork and the like, done in Inform 7. Much like the games that inspired it (Pick Up The Phone Booth And Die, Aisle, and Pick Up The Phone Booth And Aisle) you only get one command and the game ends. Each command gets you a different end. We’ll see how many I can eke out.
STLD is about our favorite lesbian paladin, Lady Siofra Aine Whelan, the Swordarm of the fire goddess Fyrshala, as she faces off against an end boss of one disc out of many if we were on a PS1 JRPG. Her name is Braveleaf Axewound, The Worst Elf, a cleric/ranger gone mad trying to spread the word of the holy martyr, Alicia the Prophet, but isn’t so hot at her job. Braveleaf has Team Rocket levels of luck, but somehow you were caught up in it and here you are, face to face, about to end this fight and move on.
But HOW will you end it and save the day, if you even can?
Coming 2016 from Devil Dyke Industries - Save The Last Dance.
Because if you don’t, she’s gonna.
