I just wanted to express my admiration for your fictional work. I've been in the spn fandom for more than 12 years but I was too young back then so I guess that's why I only got the maturity to read your work now. And I've been binge reading for five days lol. I've finished ATOE two days ago and here I am rereading. Fascinated by how you can convey such intense meaning behind words and how you're able to encapsulate the reader into your Universe. In a previous answer you said that the Boys (Sirius and Remus) face a "toxic masculinity". Tbh I don't understand why they face this and how this is connected to them not being in a relationship. Could you explain it to me?

(( OOC: So when I’m talking about toxic masculinity, I am referring to the conformity to certain traditional masculine behaviours and the negative impact this can have upon men themselves. It looks at how traditional male gender roles can restrict and dictate the types of emotions deemed “allowable” for men to express.

The concept has many different elements to it that I don’t have to time to fully explore here, but to summarise: toxic masculinity produces men that are often disconnected from their emotions and have a limited capacity to understand and express their feelings, or don’t feel comfortable in being emotionally vulnerable.

So in this series, we see that fem!Remus and fem!Sirius have been able to recognise their feelings towards each other and explore their sexuality… whilst their male counterparts are a little behind in this department. You could argue that this is due to the impact of such gender constructs upon each set of characters. I know that these are fictional characters, and it’s a fictional pairing - I just thought it was an interesting dynamic to explore whilst I had the opportunity to have both masculine and feminine versions of the same character interacting in one thread. ))

I love how in In A Turn Of Events the Fem!Maradeurs are waaaaay ahead of the boys ("wait... You still think you're straight??") and how well you and tt work together. As I was reading it last night I got confused because I mixed up your Jamie with his James in one of the gifs, you guys can be identical sometimes.

(( OOC: Exactly! I thought it would be interesting to see how fem!Sirius and fem!Remus had managed to establish a relationship without the pressure of toxic masculinity that the boys faced. It’s those types of scenarios that are interesting to explore when working in a genderbent universe. ))
