I finally filled in and signed the 'you have a uterus so you could possibly potentially maybe have the ability to become pregnant so we can't give you these meds which you've had before until you've signed this waiver' waiver
Looking forward to getting on topiramate again and losing roughly 65% of my cognitive function (already running at 20%), my ability to remember words (will there even be a difference?) and my ability to drink Pepsi Max (just straight up wailing)
I can't remember if I could drink other fizzy drinks, like lemonade, but I do know that the last time I was on topiramate I accidentally overdosed on meds for a few weeks because of the cognitive impairment
On a brighter note, after explaining that my migraines are out of control, they keep me awake, sometimes I just lie in bed whimpering because going to A&E isn't gonna do anything,
and that all I have to medicate myself with is cocodamol and aspirin,
and the pharmacist keeps treating the people who go to get the cocodamol for me (my family members) like they're drug seeking or selling it on the black market or some other utter nonsense,
the headache nurse said I could try rimegepant as an acute med
It's not authorised for preventative treatment for chronic migraine (only episodic) but it CAN be used acutely
I had no luck with the atogepant, here's hoping the rimegepant actually does something. Even taking the edge of and bringing me down from an 8 to a 3 or 4 would be a game changer.
