"This isn’t a dinky plastic 3D printer that will wobble all over the place like a penguin running on ice. Instead it is constructed completely out of metal using a modular design system.
The Atom 2.0 has several key features which make it stand out from the competition. The all-new triple fan system integrates into the machine, enabling precise prints at relatively fast speeds. With one fan dedicated to regulating the temperature of the hot end, and two additional fans dedicated to cooling the extruded molten filament as quickly as possible, you will not have to worry about layer distortion during the print process.
We all know how important the belt tension of a 3D printer is to its accuracy. Some of you may have had rather frustrating experiences trying to tighten belts. The Atom 2.0 comes equipped with a belt clamp system which effortlessly allows the user to tighten the belt just right.
The Atom 2.0 is not only a single extruder machine, but also enables its users to swap out the extruder for either a double extrusion attachment or a laser engraver, making this machine perfect for the maker in all of us." ~ 3dprint.com
personalfactory:
Really impressive new delta. 3d prints quality is very, very good if not excellent! Black all metal design makes this 3d printer so rigid and cool. Today 29.01.2015 it has been funded in 700% :) ATOM 2.0 Team gathered $4,202,525. It is a big success considering not so low price tag and the fact that it is a DIY KIT.
