sorry for the random and weird question but im curious on ur take,, do u think six, mono n the kids like,, know their own names? like sure we know their names but we never seem them introducing to each other in the comics it Makes Me Think if its just a nickname by the devs - atomchurch

I get the impression that the names Mono and Six aren't their "actual" names. Like, it's what the devs call them and gave them, like you said, but in-universe they probably wouldn't go up and introduce themselves as Mono or Six or anything like that. Part of me even wonders if they even HAVE names for themselves. It's hard to imagine caring adult figures in this game giving them names (if they have parents and stuff like that), but I also feel like. Maybe? Kinda? that if they don't have actual actual names, then it's just because they don't have the time to choose names for themselves. They're just themselves. Being constantly on the run, trying to survive, sometimes it feels like a lot of these children don't have the time to be able to give themselves a name? Something like that.
Another headcanon I have is that they mightve just...forgotten their true names. I don't know know how canon the first LN comics were, but there were these themes of the kids there trying to get Six to tell them where she'd come from, who she was, etc. Etc., or that she'd forget eventually. So maybe after being on the run for such a long time, especially when they're so young, it just kinda fades away? Not sure!
All this said, I still like the idea of them having actual, non-number names. BUT at the same time I also very much like the names Mono and Six, so I think it would be cute if they named themselves those. I think it would be cute if they gave themselves ANY name. I think the kids should be able to create indentities for themselves it's what they deserve!!
