It’s been a hundred million years since I thought about this but @aedancousland posting that snippet of a shanty got me listening to them again and now I’m thinking about the warrior Origins playthrough I started with Iain Hartshorn (a Cousland cousin) and suddenly I feel like he should become a sailor at some point in his life and fall in love with it

Furthermore, Iain is a twin. His sister is older by about seven minutes, has much lighter fingers than he, and is named Cei. He’s got dark, dark auburn hair, so dark it’s often mistaken as “black”, but hers is lighter, and it’s easy to see that it’s red when it flashes in the sunlight. They have almost the same grey-green eyes, however, though hers may be a smidgen darker.

Working on this Inquisitor as a Companion meme and becoming ridiculously more invested in Lywc as a companion than as an Inquisitor.

(Despite some getting stuck on her Companion Quest—I know the outcome, but have not settled on a good premise yet)

The first will be Locke Lamora-inspired, human lady fencer. Probably romancing Cullen. I'm thinking rogue, with a specialization in assassin--maybe artificer; I want to see how both work first before I decide one way or the other. I'm tossing some names around in my head right now as possibilities, but not settled yet. Long dark hair, kept tied up out of her face and belying the length--or possibly cropped short. Maybe she cuts it partway through. Complete heterochromia iridum--probably green and blue, and not genetic, but I haven't decided on which eye is which or why she has heterochromia. She's rakish and easygoing, and her family has thought her either daft or a tad touched all her life.

The other one I'm thinking of actually was spawned from thinking of the Trevelyan background and comes solely from the line that came to me of, "The youngest of my siblings, yes, but that does not make me young." Older mage lady, not sure what specialization--maybe Rift Mage? Really, that line is about the only thing I have about her so far. That and she'll romance Blackwall.

Tell me about Maebh and Anders *chinhands*

Oh, where to start? Perhaps some good things tonight instead of sad things. At least for now.

Nearly as soon as Maebh met Anders, she was charmed by him. His sense of humor, the way he smiled (and the way the corners of his eyes crinkled just a bit), and his laugh—they all hit her right when she wasn’t expecting it. Their relationship began in a flurry; they both were flirtatious by nature, sarcastic by default, and had things they didn’t like to talk about from their past. They were trying to seek a reprieve in one another, someone else to help alleviate the weights on both their shoulders. He liked to tease her about her inability to cook, and she liked to tease him about never being able to turn away even a stray cat (too much kinship, perhaps). They quickly became lovers and enjoyed each other—enjoyed laughing with one another after hardship and sorrow.

For the first few years, everything seemed so bright whenever he was around, and she made such happy plans in her head.

That is a really good question... I might actually have to replay him from the beginning (since he started out vastly different than he ended up being) to get back into his head again that well. I honestly am not sure right now. I'll have to think on it. /ponders this while drifting off to bed
