Happy birthday Queen Elizabeth I of House Tudor. 💥💥💥 nerd rant about my favorite tudor 💥💥💥 Who was born in 1533 and then sadly lost her mother Anne Boelyn to execution less than 3 years later. She was made an orphan in 1547 when her father Henry viii died as well. Quickly she lost her siblings Edward VI in 1553 and Mary I in 1558. After her own brief visit to tower in 1554 she found herself awaiting this time for her coronation. She ruled alone as the virgin queen until her death in 1603 (by new calendar). She had many suitors who tried to tame her Eric XIV of Sweden, Archduke Charles of Austria, and even Henry and then Francis Duke of Anjou. Not to mention the scandalous Robert Dudley whose wife dying in 1560 raised eyebrows. Elizabeth had smallpox in 1562 where the worst was feared so Robert was offered to Mary Queen of Scots. Robert ended up waiting to remarry until 1578 and of course Mary was executed finally in 1587 after years in prison. Her son James of course took over the Scottish crown and then on Elizabeth's passing joined the crowns in 1603. 💥💥💥💥 #stacksaturday #bookishsep19 #readingbetweendrinkssep19 #atotally #storieswithstephsep19 #fearyournovelsours Free day #thecursedemerald https://www.instagram.com/p/B2HR9Vbg_1U/?igshid=nn8uwvhdz1oa
