“Is Woodstein in a polycule with Richard Nixon?”
—@ask-bernstein two minutes ago
Doing the design work I need to do to get my degree? No. Making more Superman inspired posters? Yep!!
I have been sitting on these for a while but with Man of Tomorrow filming next week and All The President’s Men having just turned 50, now feels like the right time. My head-canon is ATPM is Lois’ favourite movie and I love to imagine her and Jimmy on some Woodstein investigate adventures.
coloured the red herring :))
plus a bonus nixon
haven't had this much motivation to draw in ages. yippee!
I will say the woodstein dynamic hits even harder if you’ve read carl’s memoir loyalties (which is a fascinating portrait of a childhood in the shadow of mccarthyism) cause you get to watch them go from “oh god not bernstein” and “office prima donna” to “invited woodward over for seder and he found the afikomen” and “drove hundreds of miles with the tape recorder rolling to untangle the threads of this messy, emotional, deeply personal story” like. that kind of friendship doesn’t happen everyday.
