That was that all that she could hear with her eyes still closed. Yet oddly the silence had a sound to it that contradicted all of physics itself. An acidulous feeling was running throughout her body as her blood felt cold. She couldn't remember her name at all. Rolling over, she could feel the air moisten and condense itself on her warm skin. It was like the annoying feeling when someone would wake up to the sound of their alarm clock. A drowsy feeling that seemed to linger and paralyze one's senses for a while. She shrugged off those feelings wanting to sleep a bit more, rolling around on what seemed like grass. The mermaid witch was tired to the point, where she didn't care what she slept on. No questions.
An hour later, she woke up rubbing her eyes to discover the scenery or rather try to figure out what it was. Fog seemed to be everywhere, to the point where the grass seemed celadon. Of course, she could make out amber lights across the scenery that appeared to be fire. Her natural senses as a vanguard, let her identify the exact the number of familiars in a flash. There were about three of them and closing on her location.
"Um...?" Upon closer examination two had a dragon head, while another had a geisha like look. She raised an eyebrow seeing one draw out a lance, while another appeared to prepare to breathe fire. Even if she was a knight who lost her memories, her instincts of battle still came to her. It was something she did not need to remember. "I guess I"ll have to fight..." A second after she finished that sentence a fireball was sent towards her, incinerating the grass below her. Of course a jump into the air was all that took to avoid it.
Landing onto the ground, she ran as fast as she could, her clothing feeling lighter than ever. Such celerity allowed her to perform a STOVL into the air defying all aspects of gravity. Granted the fog did cloud her vision, of course the lights were there to lead her sword. Speaking of her sword. Where exactly was it? "I have nothing...!?" She patted her body before suddenly at the peak of her ascent her hand by instinct stretched out open, as though she was holding an imaginary sword, before a sword did materialize. "...?" She didn't have time to think as she descended at a forty-five degree angle towards one of the familiars like a blue comet.
"Spark Edge!" she screamed towards her descent, stabbing one of the familiars into the chest. It happened to be the dragon familiar. Even if it was the opposite element of water, the mermaid witch called upon her old attacks as though she was born with the technique. An attack that Oktavia couldn't even perform. Her speed was just as fight as lightning, to the point where a loud boom could be heard as she took to the target into the air with another STOVL. In the air she could perform aerial sword arts. She angled her sword to where she could kick the familiar higher into the air. "Maybe if I just...?" She imagined a sword hilt to where it could form for her to jump off of, and so it happened. The blue knight took off into air slashing the familiar forming the two sides of an A. Then just as she was about to fall she formed another hilt to jump off creating the straight line completing the letter and causing the familiar to shatter as though it were glass."
"One down two more to go!" She yelled in a happy voice. Routes of the next possible set of actions took place in the blue brigader of swords. Assuming there were no other familiars in the barrier she could perform a powerful attack at the cost of high mana. On the other hand, she could prolong the fight with physical acrobatics and beautiful sword arts. The blue knight decided to take the familiar option preparing a defensive stance as she reached the ground.
Upon reaching the ground, she concentrated gathering a blue light from the ground. Every action she took was fluid, just like water running down a river. "I don't know who I am! But, this is awesome! I feel just like a hero of justice!" Her sword glinted a light blue before proceeding to release a blue shockwave that instantly sent the two other familiars towards death. The shock-wave took the form of something like a tidal wave, that was as sharp as the tip of her blade. It broke down the familiars on a molecular level. "For the kingdom!" The amnesic blue knight yelled out as her shock-wave was already sent out. By kingdom she meant her heart.
"Great! Who is next!? Or am I done?"
"Those guys didn't even stand a chance!"
She hopped up and down feeling the light yukata on her about to drop. Oktavia had hoped that no one else was around as she let it fall off her by accident. A blush rang through those cheeks as she picked up the clothing and put it on.
"These clothes feels so unnatural to me..." She sighed, examining what else she was wearing. Charred boots that didn't match the red yukata. Tilting her head down bare hands that hurt a bit gripping onto the sword.
"I wonder if there's anyone else here..." An examination of routes again. In the end there was only one. It was to find her way out of this barrier. Granted, the mermaid didn't know it was a barrier but, rather a part of Earth itself. "Those things did look vicious though..."
She took off running towards anywhere she possibly could hoping the fog would end up soon or come across someone innocent.
"I don't know who I am but, this is one hell of an awesome life!"
