I mean you could file a lawsuit but it would most likely lead to the other dog being put down rather than the owners getting in trouble, while that would be fitting revenge, it's a bit cruel. But I'm also sorry for the loss of your friend, it wasn't your fault at all. Do what you think is right and we'll support you
