Promote all of your events with the new organizer profile page

Do you plan lots of events? If so, the newest thing in the Eventjoy experience is perfect for you! Today we're rolling out organizer profile pages. These are customizable pages for you to automatically list all of your events, promote yourself, and link to your social media accounts/website. With more and more organizers using Eventjoy, we're frequently asked to help them index their events. These new pages should do just the trick.

All of your events in one spot Setting up your organizer profile takes a minute and once you do it, you'll have a central place for all of your Eventjoy powered events. The page will highlight both your upcoming and past events. To access your profile, simply go to 'My Profile' in the top right corner dropdown of any page. 

Customize it to extend your brand  Like with all of the other tools we create, we believe customization is key to make your events even more successful. These organizer pages are no different. You can customize the colors, add a logo, and a beautiful header image. Want to make the URL unique? No problem! Make it whatever you want.

All organizer page urls follow the format: eventjoy.com/o/yourcustomname

Bonus: A simpler attendee profile After observing how attendees engage each other at events and when they connect their social networks, we're making things simpler. The attendee profile, also found in 'My Profile', now just asks you to connect Facebook instead of every major social network. We're doubling down on how we approach social interactions and will be adding a lot more Facebook functionality in the near future, especially on mobile.

Attendee profiles - A new way to discover others at the events you attend

Discovering and registering for an event online and then later going to it in person is a great example of how technology can bring people together. But when you're at the event, you often have very little context on who is experiencing the event with you. Odds are everyone there shares some commonalities in their interests, which is why you're all at the same place at the same time.  If you're like most people, you're active on a variety of social networks. Whether that's Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Google+, you have an online identity. This identity is often lost when you're at an event, even though it's a great way to discover other interesting people and help you stay connected after the event ends.  We're closing this gap by introducing the attendee profile. It's a simple way for you to create a single profile that talks about who you are and let's you connect all of your favorite social networks. So now when you attend an event, you can connect with others and engage with them through the Eventjoy app.

Why is this exciting? 

Creating a profile and connecting your social networks opens up a whole realm of possibilities. Some of these capabilities we offer today, while others we expect to rollout in the future:

Ability to easily invite friends and connections.

See who else you know is planning to attend the event, as well as who is actually there when you arrive. 

Discover and connect with new people at the event.

In-app messaging and social functionality.

Effortless posting to your favorite social networks.

And of course, we take privacy seriously and will never post on your behalf without your permission.

How do I set this up?

Your profile is shared across the Eventjoy website and app. To access your profile from the website, simply login, hover over the box in the top right, and click "My Profile".

Connect any social networks you want to your profile. The first network you connect will pull in some information that is automatically added to your profile; feel free to edit or add to it.

To access your profile from the app, go into any event you're attending and tap "Your Profile". 

If you initially created your profile on the web, it'll be waiting for you in the app. If you haven't created a profile yet, the same steps from above apply in the app.

Now when other attendees use the app to see who else is attending, they'll be able to find your profile which looks like the below.
