Currently stuck on the idea that Victoria and Tim are MOJ and Phalanx coded, respectively
Victoria has had a lot of pain in her life: moving to a new country, scraping by with a tight budget, taking care of her dad, knowing somewhere in the back of her mind that her dream job isn't feasible. She knows what it's like to suffer, so she directs her energy towards taking the pain of others away, even if it's just temporary with a smile or a joke or a routine. She also literally became an advocate and still occasionally has dreams about The Smiler. Who knows what would have happened if Smiler hadnt let her go.
Tim is order and convention. It seems like everyone in the Evans family has landed on their feet except for him. Old money expected to be maintained. The more Tim can't find his place in that order the more distressed he finds himself becoming. Hell, his family would probably be PROUD of him if he decided to quit that silly little theme park job and go into the private security business. The only thing not making him give his job up completely is the fact that Victoria and Gerry are the first people who have cared about him without giving him crushing expectations
