"Attribution decay" is a social media phenomenon where the original speaker of a particular quote is lost in the thread of reblogging, re-Tweeting, or sharing by many people. In this case, it was also probably deliberately helped along by an original speaker who suggested it might be attributed to Morgan Freeman - someone found a photo and took him up on that.

Before you share/RT/post anything that was supposedly said by someone else, it helps to go check and see if it's true. Of course, the timeliness and the truthfulness of a statement might be apt regardless of who it's been attributed to, but it's nice to know that you really are putting the words into the right mouths.
