Chapter 2, Scene 6
Baako: can we talk about the other night?
An: What about it?
Baako: You’ve said maybe three words to me since then.
An: What am I supposed to say Baako? Good for you?
Baako: I killed your rapist!
An: I never asked you to!
Baako: I knew you wanted me to!
An: You let me sit in that fear for FIVE. WHOLE. YEARS. You don’t see anything wrong with that?
Baako: When was I supposed to tell you? I didn’t want you to think about him anymore. You were mine now.
An: I was yours?
Baako: That’s not what I meant.
An: Am I just a possession to you? An incubator for your children?
Baako: No An. I love you.
An: When did you fall in love with me?
Baako: You know this.
An: No, I actually don’t. I’ve always wondered what you saw in me that day. I saw my protector. But I was so broken. How could anyone fall in love with a broken thing?
Baako: I knew if I saved you from this terrible thing that happened to you, that you would never leave me.
An: do you love me at all?
