Hi Lilydale! Do you know if there is a way to download the entire ATXC page/newsgroup? Or, the ATXC Google group? (Not sure how to reference it!) For example, Gossamer has a way to download the entire site, which I have (!), & I wondered if the same was possible with ATXC in case one day it disappears. (It's so annoying that you can go page by page but the site address stays the same so you have to sort of start over each time to find the last spot you left off of.) Do you know? Thank you!
Unfortunately I do not know a way to fully download ATXC. It would be a huge file, having over 87,000 pages! There are a bunch of different newsgroup readers, and maybe one of them has a bulk download functionality? If anyone has any suggestions for anon, let us know!

Along with fanfic, users discussed fic, posted feedback, made story recommendations, proposed fic challenges, and made requests for forgotten stories and website announcements. Authors posted their fic directly to the newsgroup and it was automatically forwarded there by certain mailing lists. Depending on the author's wishes, the fic posted to this group was picked up and archived by Ephemeral and/or Gossamer.

THE CONNECTION:
Georgie has no idea where she comes from, but the truth has been always there, hunting her, making her think of her biological family, and as she grew older with her wanting to know her place in the world, the doubt and curiosity only grew. The only information she has is that her mother dropped her off not wanting anything to do with her for reasons and a father that just didn’t seem to care — at least that is the story she was told.
But here enters your character! In the search of finding more of herself she ends up finding more than she bargained for, discovering not only the reasons behind her parent’s choices, but also that her family is way bigger than the one she originally thought she had.
Everything about the character is UTY, from where they are from, to their name, gender, what they do for a living, their story and background.
I am up to any changes or ideas you may have over it, but the major idea I want to maintain is that they are siblings and will end up finding one another in a way.

THE CONNECTION:
The Lockwood’s moved into Cresswell Manor out Austin in 1996, and within a matter of weeks, strange, supernatural occurrences started happening all around them: banging in the walls, slamming doors, lights turning on and off at will, odd shadowy creatures on the grounds… Things gradually escalated, and after months of terror, the family eventually fled when their mother claimed that one night she was possessed by an evil spirit. The story quickly caught the attention of the media, becoming sensationalized and catapulting both Cresswell Manor, and the Lockwood family, into the spotlight.
There have always been unsubstantiated whispers that the entire haunting was created by Mr. and Mrs. Lockwood as a way to gain fame and fortune. And with a book, a movie (plus several remakes), and a ghost hunt tour dedicated solely to the property they still own, it is certainly not outside the realm of possibility.
The Lockwood siblings are as follows:
Elizabeth Lockwood (35) - The eldest of the siblings, Beth is a natural leader, and makes sure the family is always taken care of. She manages her parents’ estate and makes sure the family still makes money off of every telling of the story of Cresswell Manor. Publicly, she maintains that their experiences actually happened, but secretly, her parents divulged to her several years ago that everything was fabricated.
Jamison Lockwood (32) - Jamie is the bleeding heart of the family, and often feels pulled between the strong wills of his sisters. Most frequently, he acts as peacekeeper between Beth and Hattie, who vehemently disagree on the way their experience in Cresswell Manor was pulled into the media. He is the glue that keeps the family together, and though it is a struggle, he is determined not to let their collective trauma tear them apart. Personally, however, he still isn’t sure how he feels about the whole ordeal, and denies that fact that he still has night terrors.
Freddie Lockwood (NPC, deceased at age 18) - Freddie was Hattie’s twin brother, and the first to suggest that their parents manipulated the whole experience for fame and fortune. He allowed it to turn him angry and rebellious, falling in with the wrong crowd and dying of a drug overdose his senior year of high school.
Harriet ‘Hattie’ Lockwood (30) - With the death of her twin brother, Hattie took up the mantle as the family cynic. There is no doubt in her mind that her parents were conniving enough to manipulate the entire situation, and her outspoken opinions have alienated her from the rest of the family.
Audrey Lockwood (27) - As the youngest in the family, everyone did their best to coddle Audrey and shield her from the media attention that followed their family’s experience at Cresswell Manor. As such, while her time in the house played a huge part in her personal development, she has never really felt free to speak openly about it, and it’s left a huge hole she doesn’t know how to fill. She whole-heartedly believes in the things she saw and heard - they are woven deep into the fabric of her being.

CONNECTION CHARACTER NAME: This is completely up to the player (I have no preference), but these are some suggestions: Adelaide, Caroline, Georgia, Josette, Savannah, Sienna, Summer. Given the character’s background, I imagine it would be very southern inspired.
SUGGESTED FC’S: I’m really not picky when it comes to face claims, because I feel like the character should be yours and your own interpretation/creation. However, here are some of my top picks when it comes to this connection in particular: Inbar Lavi, Katie Stevens, Stella Maeve, Hilary Duff, Liz Gillies, Candice King, Tristin Mays, Candice Patton.
THE CONNECTION:
One of the most important aspects of this connection, if not the most important, is that she was his first love. She had only just moved to town (from Tennessee) when the two started high school and became friends — with Nick being on the football team, and her being a cheerleader, they had the same group of friends and attended the same parties and events. He was completely enamored by her because she wasn’t the least bit interested in him, which he found extremely amusing, and did his utmost best to win her affection. I’m talking grand gestures, and sweet handwritten notes, and quiet moments alone under the bleachers.
They began dating officially at the beginning of their sophomore year, and were inseparable ever since. She fit perfectly into his home life and I imagine she had a good relationship with Nick’s older sister, Victoria, and his father. She was probably also the only person he ever opened up to about his mother’s death, which greatly affected him and led him to make some less than favorable choices. She understood him. In the end, he only ever wanted someone to accept him and his flaws and the many mistakes he had made in the past. With her encouragement, his rebellious behavior dwindled and he focused on school and sport, and being a better brother and son. He not only wanted to make her proud to be his girlfriend, but he never wanted to disappoint her or give her a reason to walk away. In many ways, she was his sunlight and played a large part in grieving the loss of his mother, even if it was only years later.
However, when Nick was eighteen years old and decided to enlist in the Army, this is where their relationship began to fall apart. She admired and supported his decision, but she was never happy about it. They had spoken about getting married after high school, settling down and starting a family, so having Nick veer off course came as a shock to her. She didn’t want them to be apart, but she also didn’t want to hold him back and knew that if she did, he would come to resent her in later years. Nick promised that they would stay together and make it work, and that it would only be for two years at most — she would attend college, and he would join her when he finished his first tour. Their relationship continued for a year after that, with him visiting as much as he could, but eventually they decided to part ways after coming to the conclusion that they both wanted different things in life.
When Nick returned home after his father’s death, his ex-girlfriend attended the funeral and he was surprised to learn that she remained close Arthur Mercer throughout the years. By this time, she was already happily married to someone else and the two began building a friendship, with Nick finding comfort in the fact that she was present for his father’s last remaining weeks. The state of their relationship/friendship now is completely up for discussion, as is her current relationship status. This is by no means a romantic connection, but something that we can develop accordingly and see where it takes us!

So, Scarlett is a wreck, both professional and personally, and this character is the key that holds it all together. While the girl is obnoxious, and dreadful to work for, as long as everything she needs done gets done, she doesn’t day a word. This person would know everything about her, and pretty much make sure everything is in it’s place down to paying her electric bill and reminding her she does in fact have to eat lunch. She’s had a personal assistant since she moved back, so about four years. You can decide if they’ve been her assistant for a long time, or if they’ve been recently hired. I haven’t really thought about if she cycles through assistants a lot, but it wouldn’t be a stretch to think that she does.

This character can be male/female/non-binary, it does not matter to me. They can be as young as 22, (because she wouldn’t hire anyone without a college degree) but as old as anything. She doesn’t care as long as they listen to her. No matter the age she’d still give them extremely bad advice, and honestly, it’s the best/worst.

At the moment it feels like their marriage is crumbling but ofc we can work out all the gory details!

They stole every moment together they could, and with their help, the truth about the abuse Mark was enacting on Celeste, and countless others were exposed, and Celeste was able to be free of his hold. However, this meant that when she was fifteen years old, she was swept away to live in Texas with her aunt. Whether or not they’ve kept in touch or what happened after she left would be up for us to decide based on how you envision your muse.
