One thing more clear about Blurred!will? He is exhausted, mentally and physically as he carries his duties as the Shane of Slugterra/99 Caverns. Like Blurred!Blakk, he’s gone through some changes but still the same sort of. He has his flaws and by no means perfect, but he tries, though, his focus are more on the residents than the slugs, unfortunately for the shadow clan.
He tries to make up for this, trying to help the caverns more systematically rather than just fight crime and lock bad guys away. Fixing broken systems and helping those in need who aren’t suffering at the hands of criminals, but also dealing with criminals, both at the same time, Which, with how large and different the caverns are, are not a easy feat to do, which drives him exhausted and tired most of the time. Lastly, unfortunately, to Will Shane’s mindset, He isn't a baby, he can take care of himself and others, to put it short, he has a savior complex in this AU, he puts himself last, and he hates it when that ‘Reality’ he’s created for himself is interfered with. He feels he has privilege than most, which also makes him feel like he deserves nothing.
He doesn’t realize this is just destroying himself.
His family, the reason he is the way he is.
In Blurred!AU, Will’s family is..complicated, with a neglectful mother and an Angry father, and an uncle who chooses to look away and pretend everything is fine. (Of course theres more of Will’s family but the main ones in his life was his father, and mother, and uncle Jimmo.)
To put it shortly, since Will’s (rebel behavior) as his family called it, He’s been a black sheep in the Shane family, for wanting to avoid the duty and responsibility of the Shane. And the family he believed was perfect, was suddenly not anymore. Due to the lack of support and love, Will’s grown to be clingy, but also worried and insecure about himself, but he hides it well.
(One thing I changed, is uncle Jimmo isent this cold man who doesn’t care about Will Shane, he does love and care about his nephew, but family expectations and traditions have made him..turned a blind eye to the toxic environment Will is in.)
