How the Leaves Do Fly...
Time seemed to race on. The apartment that Logan had been working so hard on was finally finished, and they were able to get everything out of her apartment first, with the help of their friends and coworkers. Then came the cleaning out of his apartment, and the laughable puzzle of figuring out how to merge two lives' worth of furniture and belongings into one space. The new place was gorgeous. There would be plenty of room for them and their new addition when it arrived. So the early fall was sent sorting and unpacking, Hazel finding that she truly hated having any cardboard in her decor. It was all gone by mid-October.
She loved her new kitchen. She made homemade popcorn balls and candies for the trick-or-treaters at Halloween, dressing up as a chef to hand it all out, because it was the easiest thing to do. It was around that time that she realised ...soon her uniform was going to need some letting out. The pants and the jacket were starting to get tight around the waist. She was getting a visible belly, and now had to fend people off who wanted to just touch it. Without asking first at that. Rude, really. But Logan loved it and would cup and caress it whenever he had the chance, and that gave her such a thrill, seeing that excited look in his eyes, and hearing that loving tone to his voice when he spoke to The Belly.
