Could you please tell me how this bid works? It's my first time and I have no idea how it works. Thank you!
Okay, so the auction format that Creation uses is a Dutch auction, but I’m sure that doesn’t explain much. There is a great blog I follow called @spncontips and they made a really detailed, very informative post on the way Creation Auctions work that I think can answer most of your questions. Keep in mind that there is some specific stuff on the SPN conventions that don’t really apply to the OUAT conventions but the basic explanation of the process is the same. You can find that post HERE
Okay, so here are some tips from me to you …
ONLY MAKE ONE BID and leave it there until you are kicked off the high bidders list. Only then should you bid again … otherwise you have bid for two spots.
The winning bids will all pay the LOWEST winning bid amount
How you bid is up to you … some people say to bid the highest you are willing/able to pay and walk away but that policy may end up driving up the price because everyone feels they need to bid really high, too. So you may want to stay with the lower bids ans risk being kicked off (but then you can bid again)
I hope all that helps. Seriously, read the link I posted. It is so informative.

I'm confused about how the auction works. Why is Colin's going so high but others are low?
It’s because of the way a Dutch Auction works.
When you look at the high bidder’s list it only shows one amount for all the people on the list … but that isn’t what the people bid.
On Jen’s list at the moment there are 11 bidders for 10 spots but the bid is still $300 because the very last person on the list has a bid of $300. When they get bumped off they have the option to place a new bid to get back on the list.
Their new bid just has to be higher than the lowest bid on the list. So since Jens list is at $300 and there are 11 bids that means that a new bid must be $300.01 to make it back on the high bidders list.
Now, the reason why Colin’s is so high is because people placed bids based on the highest amount the are willing to pay. So when the list of 10 people filled up it went to the next highest bid, If all 10 people put a bid of $500 in then the bid amount will jump to $500 because that is the next “lowest” bid amount. So now Colin’s is at $800 with 8 days to go!
There are pros and cons to both methods. Some people don’t want to keep watching the auction and potentially be outbid so they just put in their high bid and walk away hoping that it doesn’t go above that.
I actually prefer the other method of raising the bid just slightly. If the bid is $300 then bid $301. To me, that keeps the price lower because the minumum amount isn’t jumping … but you also run the risk of being booted off the high bidders list and who knows if it will work well as the auction gets into it’s final hours. I fully expect that it will get too rich for me and I’ll have to give up on this Meet & Greet.
I hope this answer helps!
so if we won VIP or M&G do we get a ticket or a number that proves we won? and do they email it to us? how does it work?
They will e-mail you when you won.
