Thanks. Sorry. Sure - McCafferty

TL;DR: McCafferty is back! Studio quality doesn’t hurt them that much, good new start for them. Solid EP, some real good tracks in here. 8/10

Overview This EP was a dream come true. I, like most McCafferty fans, thought they were done, but it’s looks like Nick and Co. are all in. I’ve been listening to the album on repeat for the last month straight, so I finally wanted to get my thoughts out there. So I’ll go song by song and let you know what I think.

Trailer Trash Very solid song, intense energy, great way to start the album. Though this isn’t my favorite song on the EP, I think this was the best for the opening slot. 7/10

Cut Out The Pieces This song took a while for me to get into to be honest. But after a few listens it quickly became my favorite. The best is during the last third of the song. It’s like a rocket that fucking blasts. For sure a contender for a “heart song”, maybe I’ll make a post about those soon. 9/10

Daddy-Longlegs This is the banger for sure. Though we got this as a single way before the EP dropped, it’s still amazing every time it comes on. Every line is amazing. This song really made me believe a Studio McCafferty would still be as good as their lo-fi stuff. 9/10

SOWK This song is for sure out of place. I’d probably skip it, if it wasn’t so short. It looks like the producer of the album tossed it on there. Not terrible, but weird it’s on here 3/10

Outlaw This song is RAW. I love how he equities being an outlaw to being the estranged one in the family. I think Highschool me would have made this song his anthem haha. 7/10

Dead Bird II Solid song, didn’t do anything for me in particular. Good way to wind down the album. 6/10
