In Devil May Cry, just as we see the Sin Devil Trigger in the mainline series, I have written the Holy Angel Trigger for Nephilim Dante.
I wanted to simulate the atmosphere of a live performance in the grittiest of clubs. I remember seeing Meat Beat Manifesto after they released Autoimmune. This was always my favorite track from that album. I love that album, it's the most anti-pop, anti-cute shit. It's loud, it's aggressive, it's masculine and it thrived on an enthusiastic, phone-less audience that could only tell you what it was like via word of mouth.
After pulling it apart and putting it back together again, I finally got Angel Trigger to a point where it matched Dante's Holy Angel Trigger, as I picture it in the story. It's not even close to being as sophisticated as the actual performances I saw in the club. And it's no where near as marvelously percussive as the track referenced above. But I think it captures the rowdy, tribal vibe I was going for - It's a sketch of an idea. More importantly, the AI gave me a male vocal that I am psychically incapable of creating with my own singing voice.
