ok, since you agreed that gwddf is a bizarre looking word, i gotta ask: how do you pronounce it? i know a bit about Welsh pronunciation, so is it gu-thh-f? or maybe gwu-thh-f? it's the w that's tripping me up 😂
I've decided it's easier to just let you hear it as an audio track lol
Gwddf (the actual word)
Gwddwf (how a lot of people pronounce it)
Gwddw (how I and other Gogs pronounce it)
Gwddwg (how some South/West Walians pronounce it)
The first one is a single syllable, which is a bit tricky but the ddf sound is present in a few other words (greddf, deddf, etc) so it's not too unusual once you get used to it!
And yes, you can always count on us filthy Gogs to drop the consonant at the end of a word. Off ye fuck, consonant.
