Listening to the MQA version of Donald Fagen’s “Sunken Condos” via Tidal through Audirvana Pro + in 24/96 (since I do not yet have an MQA DAC.) Typical superb production and catchy tunes - in other words, just what I’d expect from Fagen. And also like other Fagen solo efforts, “Sunken Condos” could pass for another late period Steely Dan album. If you haven’t heard it, give it a spin. If you have your own copy, maybe it’s time to pull it out for a trip through your system. Kicking back to start winding down my weekend (yeah, my “weekends” are Tuesday and Wednesday) with some Gerry Rafferty off Tidal played back through Audirvana Pro 3 (at 16/44) and a cold craft brewed Von Trapp Vienna style Pilsner. The MacBook Pro providing the stream via USB to an MQA enabled DAC. Sound through my Jeff Rowland Design Group Continuum S2 integrated amp and Magneplanar 1.7i loudspeakers is superb. Sound and beer match perfectly. This how to spend a day off - great music, great beer and the company of my wife.
