signed up for an audition TOMORROW which is the least prep i’ve ever had, and it purports to be a feminist piece which i’m so picky about, but i’ve worked with the director before and they’re one of my favorite theatre people in town so, let’s fucking go i guess?

hey lovely followers, so i’ve just started a new little vlog series going through my acting process and attempts to book auditions! i’d really love if you checked it out, maybe help spread the word and throw me some cute words of encouragement? this is just the first video and hopefully i’ll have one up each month and we can start to see some progress haha. anyway it’s always nerve-wracking uploading these things so likes/comments/reblogs are much appreciated. and feel free to subscribe as well! :)

just signed up for a musical audition for the first time i feel soooooo queasy

submitted a self-tape 🫠 it’s not very good but i did four takes and didn’t think it was going to get any better

the combination of they/he and soprano at the top of my resume is crazy. the world isn’t ready i fear

one time i was getting coached for an audition and after finishing a runthrough my coach asked me to dial up the intensity to 8 out of 10. i asked her what my intensity had looked like just now and IMMEDIATELY she replied “3 and a half.” anyway she’s awesome and i’d ask her for coaching again but that remark is absolutely haunting me right now as i’m working on a new monologue and finding my performance to be pretty lackluster

self-care is knocking out 6 assignments the night before an audition because you know you won’t be in any fit shape to do homework for a hot minute in the aftermath
